About Eddie Garcia,

Eddie Garcia was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia in 1964, where he lived with his parents, Alfred and Hortensia, and his two older brothers, Paul and Bob, and his older sister Rose, until 1972, when they moved to Fresno,California.

Garcia's early interest in photography began when he attended Hoover High school. He started taking pictures for the school yearbook and school newspaper, as well as,taking photography classes from teacher Wally Peterson. He was developing his film in his parents bathroom at age 16, and using the school darkroom to make his prints from his negatives. He then attended Fresno City College and took Photojournalism from Ray Arth. Then a good friend Scott Vautin, from high school, invited Garcia to NATPE in San Francisco,Ca. It's were TV executives by and sell TV shows for the new upcoming TV season. Scott's dad was producer of the game show "Sale of the Century". It was there that he got his first taste at photographing celebrities. His friend Scott told him "You have to move to Hollywood"!

He moved to Hollywood,California in December 1986.

In 1987, he started shooting for various publicity firms and local magazines and newspapers. He shot production stills for the music video "Crying". It was performed by Roy Orbison and K.D. Lang. And produced by Virgin Records. From there, he photographed the Oscar's, Emmy's, Golden Globes, Grammy's and lots of Hollywood parties!!! He then started shooting production stills for soap operas. It started with "Santa Barbara". Then "The Bold and the Beautiful","The Young and the Restless, "General Hospital" and "Sunset Beach". He then started working on movies. Independent films, TV movie of the week and mini-series. He has worked on at least 6 soap opera series and at least 50 films as a stills photographer.

Garcia now shoots in Lancaster,California. A town just north of Hollywood. At the "Cedar Performing Arts Academy" 44851 Cedar Ave. Suite #8, Lancaster, CA. 93534.
